European aerospace giant Airbus has unveiled a new design for its upcoming all-electric, hydrogen-powered ZEROe aircraft. Powered by hydrogen fuel cells.
The single-aisle aircraft now has four engines instead of six, each powered by its own fuel cell pack.
Airbus made the redesign after news that the ZEROe would enter service later than Airbus expected.
The program was originally set to launch the zero-emission aircraft in 2035, but the next-generation single-aisle aircraft is now expected to enter service in the second half of the 2030s.
