Oman has called on Korean companies to join its growing green hydrogen sector during the Oman-Korea Green Hydrogen Investment Forum held on Monday. The Omani delegation, led by Mohsin Hamad Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, stressed the importance of climate action and deepening energy cooperation with Korea.
“Korea and Oman have long been partners in energy. This is the best moment to reinforce that partnership,” Al Hadhrami said, highlighting Oman’s ambition to become a global hub for green hydrogen and commending Korea’s participation in recent projects and auctions.
Oman’s Ambassador to Korea, Zakaria Hamid Hilal Al Saadi, emphasized the strategic value of bilateral cooperation, describing the forum as “a catalyst for action” and thanking Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, KOTRA, and other partners.
The event was moderated by Hydrom’s Auction and Client Manager, Hafsa Rashid Al Subhi, who shared her experience working with Korean firms such as Samsung Engineering and GS Energy. She stressed that green hydrogen projects are built on trust and long-term respect.
Closing the forum, Hydrom Managing Director Abdulaziz Said Al Shidhani urged pragmatic collaboration to establish a green hydrogen trade corridor and sustainable energy ecosystem.
