The Netherlands plans to allocate €28 million to different consortiums led by local H2 companies.

The 2024 Hydrogen Mobility Subsidy Scheme, in which the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW) plans to allocate €28 million to different consortia led by local H2 companies, will be used to promote the development of hydrogen mobility.

A total of 100 companies have applied for subsidies, including 12 hydrogen refuelling station operators and around 10-15 car manufacturers. To meet this high demand, IenW announced that the available subsidies will increase to €40 million in 2025, which was revealed at the National Hydrogen Energy Conference.
